Line Cook

Imperfecto , a Michelin-starred restaurant in Washington, D.C., is looking for a talented and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a demanding but supportive professional kitchen. The ideal candidate has strong fundamentals, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the desire to continue learning and growing within a high-level culinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute dishes consistently and to Imperfecto's standards during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station.
• Complete daily prep and ensure proper food handling and storage.
• Work closely with the culinary team to maintain quality, consistency, and smooth service.
• Follow recipes, portioning, sanitation, and food-safety standards.
• Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
• Strong knife skills and solid understanding of fundamental cooking techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Availability to work brunch is a great plus , as the position may support both our brunch and dinner operations.
• Bread-baking experience is a plus.
