In the role of Area Marketing Manager, we'll count on you to: Retain, develop and supervise proposal and marketing employees, as assignedEnsure the go/no-go decision process is applied in accordance with HDR's Matrix of AuthorityLead pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies (capture planning)Facilitate pursuit teams to develop persuasive proposal and interview materials Develop and manage proposal schedules and confirm complianceEngage the appropriate marketing services resources in pursuit teamsLead quality reviews of proposal and interview materialsCoach interview teams to be effective at delivering key messages during interview presentationsFacilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitivenessRecognize and celebrate pursuit successes and milestonesManage workload demands of proposal managers and marketing coordinatorsIdentify candidates to fill management, technical, business development and marketing positionsTrain and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practicesManage client relationship management and financial systems to inform reporting metrics and dashboardsSupport the development of annual and long-term strategic plans within established company direction and goals, including creating growth initiatives and prioritizing strategic investmentsImplement key growth initiatives and investments as defined in annual and long-term strategic plansDevelop and implement client plans, including long-term strategies to capture market share, as assignedCreate marketing collateral to support business development effortsDevelop business relationships with teaming partnersDirect content marketing campaigns to strengthen our brand, increase our visibility, and showcase our thought leadersDevelop and publish engaging digital content that reflects HDR's brand and elevates our thought leadershipImplement strategies to elevate HDR's brand and technical talent with industry associationsPlan and fulfill conference sponsorship benefits, as neededActively participate in professional associations to elevate HDR's brand in target marketsDevelop engaging internal communications content (announcements, presentations, videos, webinars)Arrange for professional photography on projectsCoordinate large, internal meetings (in-person and virtual)Articulate HDR's capabilities and competitive advantagesManage area business development and marketing budgetsMaintain inventory of branded materials used for client visits, conferences and recruiting activitiesPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related fieldDeep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional servicesQualificationsRequired Qualifications A minimum of 8 years relevant industry experienceDemonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire othersExperience in sales and developing effective win strategiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointProficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesignAbility and desire to travel and engage with others in-personDemonstrated experience in winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industryDemonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staffWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
