Occupational Therapist School Setting in Midlothian, VA

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience providing OT services in school environments strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to assess student needs and develop effective treatment plans
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
• Comfort utilizing assistive technology and adaptive equipment
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' functional strengths and challenges related to school performance
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across various grade levels
• Document interventions, progress, and outcomes according to school and legal guidelines
• Provide recommendations and training to staff and families to support carryover of skills
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued member of the student support team
