Thursday Labs is a podcast network built for the people shaping the future of business, technology, and culture. Founded in 2023 with no outside funding, we set out to prove that a small team with a high bar could produce the best shows in the world and own the audience that comes with them.

Three years in, the network spans more than 75 shows, 3,000+ episodes, and over a billion views. Our hosts are founders, executives, creators, and investors at the top of their fields, and we run their shows end to end: guests, recording, production, distribution, and brand partnerships. Together with them, we bring household names onto our shows every week; the kind of people you'd recognize from the Oscars, the Billboard charts, and the Forbes list.

About the role

We are hiring a Head of Talent and Guest Experience to own who appears on every show in the network. Everything we make is downstream of who sits in the chair. A great guest makes the host better, makes the clips travel, and makes the next great guest say yes. This is one of the most important hires in the company's history.

You are a super connector with taste. You know a tier 1 guest from a tier 2 without being told, and you go get tier 1. You have gotten meetings with people you had no business getting meetings with, over and over, at scale, and you can walk through every touch it took. When someone doesn't reply to three emails, your instinct is to find the other door, whether that is their agent, their publicist, their chief of staff, a warm intro, or showing up at the event. You run hundreds of personal touches a week and every show you own is booked three weeks out.

You are equally strong on logistics, and you know that half of this job is unglamorous. We shoot 25 to 35 episodes a month across the country. You send the calendar invite the second a guest says yes, book the studio, send the door code, run the 15-minute prep call, send the reminders, and you are the person they text when the front door is locked. You write the handwritten thank-you note after. If a shoot moves because a guest wasn't confirmed, you own that. Nothing drops.

You are chronically online and you live in the world our guests come from. You constantly have a rotation of 3-5 podcasts going and find yourself quoting them daily. You know who just raised, who just left, and who's about to be big, and you knew it before it was announced. You show up where the people we want are, whether that is a dinner, a launch, a founder thing, or a group chat, and people are glad when you do. When one of our hosts sits down with a guest who just appeared on TBPN, you post the photo, tag everyone, and write "who should come on next?" without being asked, because you can't help it.

You can be trusted completely. You will hold relationships with some of the most recognizable people alive and you will know things that cannot leave the room. You are competitive, and landing a name nobody thought we'd get feels like winning. Here, it also pays like winning.

You will work directly with the Founder and CEO. Our producers own show direction and prep docs, our editors own the content, and you will have every AI tool that makes you faster. As the network grows, you will shape how this function is structured, including who gets hired under you.

• Set the guest standard for every show in the network and decide who gets invited.

• Build and maintain target lists per show with the host and producer, bringing your own names to the table.

• Run outreach across email, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, text, agents, publicists, chiefs of staff, and warm intros until it is a yes or a hard no.
\n
• Keep every show fully booked three weeks out.
\n
• Build real relationships with the people you book, so that if you text them in a year, they text back.
\n

Guest experience

• Own scheduling, studio booking, door codes, and day-of logistics for 10-15 shoots a month.
\n
• Schedule 15-minute prep calls between guests and producers, chase the prep form, and make sure prep docs go out on time.
\n
• Send the one-week, day-before, and day-of reminders. Be the guest's point of contact from yes to thank-you note.
\n
• Deliver finished content to guests and stay on them until they post it.
\n
• Keep Notion current so anyone on the team can see the state of any shoot at a glance.

You should apply if this sounds like you

• You have gotten meetings with people you had no business getting meetings with, repeatedly, and at scale. Podcast booking experience is not required. Chiefs of staff, community builders, BD and partnerships people, and people who run events for a fund are all strong backgrounds.

• You live in New York, or you are willing to, and you are already plugged into the tech and media scene here.

• You know what is happening in tech and media before it is announced, and you probably write or text about it.
\n
• You can run high volume with zero dropped balls. Dozens of shows at once, nothing slips.
\n
• You are discreet. People trust you with information and you have never given them a reason not to.
\n
• You are competitive and you want your compensation tied to the names you land.
\n
• You are proficient with AI tools and you reach for whatever makes you faster.
\n
• You are comfortable with US business hours and can be in a studio in New York on shoot days.

Feedback is direct and immediate. We are async-first, we live in Slack and Notion, and we keep meetings to a few a week. When the work is done, we go to dinner.

Where you work: Based in New York. In the studio on shoot days, wherever you work best the rest of the week.
