Terms of Employment: 174 days
Start Date: 08/19/2026
Minimum Qualifications/Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain) and previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Responsibilities/Duties Essential Job Functions:
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines.
- Ability to read, write, follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math along with knowledge of operating a personal computer and related software.
- Capability to prepare daily food menu along with completing inventory, production records and daily sheets.
- Ability to communicate respectfully to staff, children and coworkers while working effectively as a member of a team.
- Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the state of Illinois and Local Health Departments.
Pay and Benefits:
$16.50/hour starting. Full health insurance program with major medical. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF Pension). Paid time off.
