Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience and multi-service line surgical background, including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics, for a 16-week day shift contract in Atlanta, GA.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting serving a broad range of surgical service lines, including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekend requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Floating within facility and scope of practice, including to Outpatient as needed
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 4 years of OR experience prior to traveling, with required experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Current certifications must be on file at time of consideration
• No schedule change requests will be accommodated — the posted day shift is firm

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO maximum is 7 days for the duration of the contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday RTO policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO approved; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work at least 2, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1)
• Blackout dates with no RTO approved: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is expected prior to the start date; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
