About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in medical-surgical telemetry experience is required. License: Compact or state license required at the time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; Chemo certification preferred. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Ability to work some summer holidays. - Candidates must float within the hospital or to an affiliated hospital nearby. - Strong preference for experienced travelers. Description: This position is in a progressive/acute care unit. ACLS and BLS certification are required. Telemetry experience is essential. Oncology experience is preferred, with chemo certification considered a plus but not mandatory. Candidates will be managing patients with surgical oncology diagnoses, including symptom management. Patient ratios will be maintained at 4 for days, nights, and weekends. The facility will require candidates to work 4-6 weekend shifts over a 6-week period. Submission of time off requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after the offer will not be approved. Compliance assessments include BLS, ACLS, and various competency exams. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical experience. Experience working with adult and geriatric populations is also necessary.
