Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting Project Managers and/or Superintendents in coordinating the activities of a project. Required Qualifications Degree in construction management or civil engineering Ability to perform material takeoffs from a drawing Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications Ability to review and update project schedules Ability to travel and gather field measurements Ability to review and prepare materials and equipment shop drawings Experience with pipe, concrete, earthwork, and general building construction Excellent communication, organization and time‑management skills Ability to communicate with equipment suppliers and subcontractors for coordination and paperwork Key Responsibilities Pre‑construction meetings Permits Submittals Shop drawings Plan and specification review Scope review and buyout Submittal and RFI log management Punch list and project closeout Computer Skills Word, Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD; ViewPoint is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Vacation time, sick time, health benefits, and 401(k). Pay is market competitive based on experience. Job Details Job type: Full‑time.
