Job Number: NR26T-06 Location: Charleston HQ Nature of Work: West Virginia State Parks is an amazing and beautiful state park system that features day use parks, historic parks, vacation cabin and camping parks, as well as large resorts featuring lodges, full-service restaurants and golf courses. Retail operations are considered an integral part of state park operations as guests and visitors alike find that shopping for our high quality branded merchandise at our many retail facilities is an enjoyable and memorable activity. The popularity of state park branded merchandise results in a high volume of annual sales. Because our state park system centralizes its retail purchasing and processing from its central office we are in immediate need of a part-time employee who is not only detail oriented but also has a passion for merchandising and for our beautiful state park system. Primary Duties: The Retail Office Associate will process all retail invoices which include preparing receiving reports, coding invoices, scanning, and processing invoices for payment. Duties will also include ensuring that all retail invoices are properly filed, documented and matched with receiving reports as needed; This employee will process all IGT/invoices that need to be paid by check/eft as all invoices paid with state purchasing card. Employee may occasionally travel to various state parks and state forests for the purpose of performing periodic inventory checks, which may require occasional overnight travel within the state. Will prepare and send various correspondence through email, letter and memorandum. May perform other office related duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required. Special Requirement: Applicants with previous retail experience is a definite plus. Work shall be primarily in an office setting and applicants must be organized, detail oriented and have experience in the processing of invoices, operating basic office equipment, and have a working knowledge of navigating spreadsheets, point of sale systems software, and databases. Work Hours: This is a part-time year round position with the central office for West Virginia State Parks. Flexible scheduling is available based on volume of work and seasonality; however, work hours will be primarily Monday through Friday, and up to forty hours per week.
