Construction Superintendent (Solar)

Role Overview Direct message the job poster from Manpower We are looking for a Construction Superintendent with OSHA 510 certification who will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of solar installation projects nationwide. Ideally looking for someone with renewable superintendent experience, but a strong electrical background will also be considered. Responsibilities also include scheduling projects, material shipment, surveys, and other types of daily scheduling. Supervises all solar installation activities and ensuring the safety and compliance of solar projects as assigned by the General Manager. Salary Range: $90,000 – 100,000/yr Location: Remote with 80% travel. Candidate should be based in Texas What’s the Job? Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS) Performs daily Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) to ensure compliance with Issued for Construction drawings, and ensures any defects are corrected in a timely manner Manages construction to the project schedule to ensure on-time delivery and completion Ensures all regulations are met and required permits are acquired to include coordinating with Utilities and other Permitting agencies Proactively identifies the elements of proposed project designs and construction requirements that could lead to disputes, claims, increased cost, or could adversely impact the image of the organization What’s Needed? OSHA 510, required Knowledge in the solar and construction industry Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, preferred Minimum of three years’ experience in site construction management in commercial and utility-scale solar PV field, including direct experience in managing projects of more than 1 Megawatt and all aspects of Solar Projects, including Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical preferred NABCEP Installer, NFPA 70e, and OSHA 30 Certification preferred *A complete job description will be provided.
