Description

• Assess patients across an array of age groups, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and keen observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to forge seamless treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and families to foster continued progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of employment.
