Your Role Awaits

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering tests, and creating individualized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions both independently and in partnership with physicians
• Instructing patients and their families on wellness, prevention measures, and disease control
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies consistent with your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up sessions and chronic illness management
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate and complete records within electronic medical systems (EMR)

Education Essentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a certified Nurse Practitioner program

Certification Necessities

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Michigan
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
