Founded 2017 · Industry: AI Tools The Role A Staff AI Frontend Engineer sitting at the intersection of product design and frontend engineering — an engineer first, with exceptional design sensibility that elevates everything you build. You'll define and implement the look and feel of AI-native enterprise workflows, making complex tools feel as intuitive as the best consumer apps. What you'll be doing Architect scalable frontend systems: reusable component libraries, state-management and API-integration patterns, bundle optimization, performance at scale Own and ship the primary user-facing features end-to-end, from React components through API integration to production polish Bridge AI capabilities with elegant UX; partner with product and backend to expose power while hiding complexity Build complex frontend systems including real-time WebRTC streaming, generative dashboards, and agentic chat that operates the product itself Use AI tools to rapidly prototype design concepts in code — working demos instead of static mocks Help define how the team scales code review and SDLC with agents Tech stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind; WebRTC; Python backend (occasional cross-stack) Requirements 6+ years frontend, Senior to Staff level React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind mastery Ships multiple features per day with AI tooling High agency, ex-founder or comparable Engineer first, designer by instinct SF in‑person, 5 days a week Clear ownership signal — not pure big‑co tenure (e.g. Google → LinkedIn → Netflix) without it Green Flags Prior founder, founding engineer, or major scope ownership at a real startup.
