Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

Registered Nurses are responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. They collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, assessments, developing personalized care plans, administering medications, documentation, equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs.

In this role, you will:

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory care, manage ventilators, and monitor patients.
• Act as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care.
• Document and communicate patient conditions using computerized systems.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with your healthcare team.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire or transfer from a non-ICU area.
• Specialty certification is preferred.
• One to two years of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
• Experience in an ICU setting is preferred.

With 100 beds, we provide comprehensive medical services for both adults and children, including emergency and surgical care. Our medical staff consists of approximately 500 physicians across more than 45 specialties, many of whom have offices on-site.
