Business ManagerEpiphany of the Lord Catholic Church Summary:The Parish is seeking an organized and experienced leader with strong management and accounting skills to assist the Pastor in overseeing the administrative functions and day-to-day operations of the Parish. This position supports the mission of the Church through sound financial stewardship, effective parish operations, facilities and property management, human resources administration, and responsible organizational leadership in accordance with Parish and Archdiocesan policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prepare and monitor the church’s annual budget. Track income, expenses, donations, and ministry spending. Coordinate payroll, benefits, and employee records. Prepare financial reports for church Finance Council. Administrative Operations: Manage the church office and day-to-day administrative processes. Maintain organizational records, policies, contracts, and important documents. Coordinate calendars, meetings, and administrative communications. Develop and improve procedures to make church operations more efficient. Human Resources: Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and supervising administrative or support staff. Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with employment requirements. Coordinate employee evaluations, benefits, leave, and workplace policies. Facilities and Property Management: Oversee church buildings, offices, classrooms, parking areas, and other property. Coordinate maintenance, repairs, cleaning, landscaping, security, and utilities. Help ensure facilities meet safety, accessibility, and insurance requirements Purchasing and Vendor Management: Purchase office, ministry, maintenance, and operational supplies. Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors. Monitor vendor performance and renewals. Maintain appropriate purchasing and approval procedures. Education, experience, and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least three years of professional experience in business administration, parish administration, nonprofit administration, accounting, or a related field. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software. Experience with ParishSOFT or comparable church management and accounting software is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problemsolving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with staff, clergy, volunteers, vendors, and parishioners. High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
