Job Summary The Housekeeper cleans dining rooms, lobbies, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, conference/family rooms, and offices, at Good Shepherd Children & Family Services. Job Responsibilities All floor care includes dust mopping, wet mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing. Cleans rugs, carpets, and draperies. Strips, waxes, and buffs floors. Cleans furniture includes upholstered furniture, desktops, and tabletops. Cleans lobbies, lounges, restrooms, hallways, and stairways. Dusts furniture and high and low area of walls. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels and sills. Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replace light bulbs. Observes and reports all safety and maintenance deficiencies. Sets up cafeteria and events. Help the organization meet its quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements by contributing to developing outcomes, participating in data collection, interpreting data, and applying it to improve practices and outcomes. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED. 1-3 months related experience. Be team oriented and able to work independently.
