PROJECT SCHEDULER — CONSTRUCTION

Key Personnel is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join a dynamic team and play a central role in keeping our construction projects on time and on target. This position sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and strategy — you'll be the scheduling backbone that project teams rely on from the first bid through final completion. Sa lary: $140,000 DOE

What You'll Do

Schedule Development & Management

• Build project schedule templates in the appropriate software platform at both the proposal/bid stage and upon contract award
• Develop, maintain, and update baseline schedules for each active project, ensuring they are properly cost- and resource-loaded
• Create short-interval schedules and schedule fragments (fragnets) in collaboration with Project Managers, and monitor their impact on the master schedule
• Assist Operations with the creation of preliminary, initial, and pay application schedule files in accordance with company standards and contract requirements
• Support the Estimating team with working schedules prior to proposal submission that clearly illustrate work sequencing and contract timelines

Project Oversight & Reporting

• Manage and evaluate schedule performance across all active projects
• Maintain scheduling reports and present project progress updates at bi-weekly scheduling meetings
• Identify scheduling problems early, analyze impacts, and recommend corrective actions
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for schedule-related issues or software problems

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner closely with Operations to assess the impact of field conditions and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Coordinate with Marketing to review proposal schedules as needed
• Provide clear, well-organized schedule information and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

Training & Systems

• Onboard new employees into scheduling software platforms and maintain the resource list on the project server
• Identify training gaps across project teams and deliver scheduling software instruction as needed
• Stay current on advancements in scheduling technology and continuously develop your own professional knowledge
• Promote a culture of professional growth through mentorship, open dialogue, and ongoing training initiatives

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in construction schedule management
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Strong ability to plan, organize, and communicate with both field operations and office stakeholders
• A track record of successful project delivery across cost, schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction metrics
• Sound judgment, independent thinking, and the confidence to ask for help when needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
• Authorization to work in the United States

A Few Practical Details

• This is an exempt (salaried) position reporting directly to the CEO
• Occasional short-term travel may be required with reasonable advance notice
• Proficiency with standard office technology (computer, phone, collaboration tools) is expected
