Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Pay: $60 - $65K annually

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods needed to support daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in purchasing within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and source qualified vendors based on price, quality, and delivery.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve the best value.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing documents, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery records.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
• Track purchasing performance, including delivery times, quality, and cost savings.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to meet purchasing needs.
• Source MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items while focusing on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Maintain vendor scorecards, conformity logs, and annual supplier evaluations.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred (not required).
• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience using purchasing or inventory management software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping.
• Ability to adapt to changing business demands and market conditions.
