Job Title: Special Trim Line Worker - WEEKLKY PAY - $17 TO $20 AN HOUR

Job Description

The Special Trim Line Worker supports a large custom cabinet manufacturing operation by starting in the trim department and rotating through multiple production areas during the workday. This role focuses on cutting finished and specialized panels, operating woodworking machinery, and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production. Over time, you will have opportunities to move into other departments and pursue promotions within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Cut finished and specialized panels with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Operate table saws and edge band machines safely and efficiently to support production needs.
• Detect equipment malfunctions, inspect parts for quality, and adjust machine controls as needed.
• Replace blades and other tooling components to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Prepare machines for production runs by setting up, calibrating, and verifying proper operation.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and parts to ensure a safe and organized work area.
• Use tape measures and other hand tools to perform precise measurements and layout tasks.
• Follow production instructions and work in a fast-paced environment while meeting training and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with team members across multiple departments throughout the day to support overall production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations and departmental needs.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of previous work experience in a production, general labor, construction, or similar environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to pass a tape measure test and perform accurate measurements.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and keeping up with training requirements.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
• Basic proficiency with saw operation, including table saws.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with cabinetry, woodworking, or assembly tasks.
• Capability to perform inspection of parts and finished panels for quality and accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, general labor, or construction is beneficial.
• Experience in carpentry, cabinet making, or cabinetry work is a plus.
• Familiarity with woodworking processes and materials.
• Comfort using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools for assembly and cutting tasks.
• Ability to work across different departments and adapt to changing tasks throughout the day.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 300 employees. The environment can be loud in certain areas, and safety glasses and ear buds are provided to support hearing and eye protection. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., supporting a consistent daytime work routine. Work is performed around woodworking and production equipment such as table saws and edge band machines, requiring adherence to safety procedures. The dress code is casual but safety-focused, requiring closed-toed shoes and clothing without offensive graphics or language.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
