To further Blue Origin's mission, the Exploration Systems business unit is developing space mining robots and systems that dig, collect, process, and transfer samples for in-situ analysis and sample return missions. As a Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to partner with program leadership to drive financial performance and programmatic decisions!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Work with program management to monitor performance and estimates on a continual basisAnalyze financial performance of individual projects and the Exploration Systems' businessDevelop reporting that provides insights into the key drivers of the business's financial performancePartner with business leadership to align quarterly forecasts for revenue, margin, and cash with strategic goalsPerform Risk and Opportunity assessment of forecasts, providing potential solutions for mitigation or recoveryServe as a trusted business partner to Exploration Systems' leadership, proactively ensuring teams operate within financial constraints and invest capital wiselyBuild and continuously improve financial processes, including but not limited to developing financial models and reporting, identifying key performance drivers and introducing new analytical methodsAssist in the month-end close process from start through the reporting cycle, including preparation and reconciliation of journal entries and customer invoicingDevelop strong knowledge of our ERP system (IFS) and lead efforts to move manual processes into the systemMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related analytical fieldMinimum 2 years demonstrating performance in a relevant roleAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to earn trust and maintain positive, professional relationships with key business partners and the broader finance teamExperience with extracting data from qualitative and quantitative data sources to support business planning and performance measurementIntellectual curiosity in the products, underlying business processes and impact of financial decisions within the Exploration Systems business unitPreferred Qualifications:Moderate proficiency in data extraction using SQL programmingExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExperience with IFS, Databricks, D365, or other cost/schedule integration toolsExperience with supporting government contractsSuccessful support of programs through DCMA/DCAA, joint site surveillance, or other government auditsEarned Value Management (EVM) experience (e.g. Control Account Management) on an EVM-required contractProposal support including pricing for bids requiring certified pricingCompensation Range for:CA applicants is $104,027.00 - $145,637.10Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
