Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify patient needs and develop bespoke treatment plans. These assessments allow for a deep understanding of each client’s individual experiences and backgrounds. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy settings to cultivate resilience and mental wellness among clients. This may involve various therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted needs of our clients. Provide crisis intervention services, acting as a stabilizing force for clients in mental health emergencies, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being. Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options available, and community resources that can further support their progress. Maintain detailed and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all patient records are secure and up-to-date. Participate actively in professional development opportunities, case conferences, and team meetings to ensure ongoing knowledge and skill enhancement. Engage in cultural competency training to better understand and respond to the needs of our diverse patient population. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, including individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. The ability to provide culturally attuned services to these populations is central to our mission. Each therapist is expected to respect and understand the unique perspectives and challenges faced by these communities, ensuring that all clients receive care that resonates with their personal experiences. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid license as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Arizona to practice independently. In-depth understanding of mental health disorders alongside evidence-based practices tailored to culturally diverse populations. Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy with sensitivity to cultural differences. Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions and care plans. Commitment to uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries. A collaborative mindset conducive to working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of direct experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting. Experience in working with culturally diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence in therapeutic settings. Prior work in outpatient mental health clinics or community health centers is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
