This Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator Position Features: Permanent Growth Opportunity Competitive Hourly Pay Established Construction Company We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator to provide administrative support involving payroll, benefits, compliance, onboarding, and employee records. This full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a dependable HR professional who can maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Upon permanent hire, compensation may go up, depending on experience. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for confidential employees Submit payroll tax payments and 401(k) contributions Process garnishments and EDD documentation Review monthly health insurance invoices Track FMLA and other employee leaves Complete employment verifications Maintain I-9 records and conduct audits Coordinate onboarding and new-hire documentation Prepare offer letters and schedule interviews Maintain confidential employee records Support HR projects and administrative needs Qualifications 2+ years of HR, payroll, benefits, or related administrative experience Payroll processing experience strongly preferred Knowledge of benefits, FMLA, I-9s, and HR compliance Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Strong attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent organization and follow-up skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Experience with HRIS or payroll systems preferred Payroll tax processing, 401(k) contributions, employee garnishments, EDD forms, FMLA tracking, I-9 audits, employment verifications, benefits invoicing, HRIS, confidential records Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: The pay transparency policy is available here: For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
