Our Mission Rock Taproom is Fieldwork’s newest San Francisco location, situated in the heart of Mission Rock; one of the city’s most exciting new waterfront neighborhoods. The taproom will feature a full kitchen alongside an ever-rotating taplist of fresh beer. This is a rare opportunity to be part of something new. As a founding team member of the Mission Rock Taproom, you will help shape the kitchen culture, standards, and guest experience of Fieldwork’s newest San Francisco location. Team members who join ahead of opening will participate in the Fieldwork Mission Rock Grand Opening and carry the tenure and institutional knowledge that comes with building something from scratch. We are also committed to growing our team from within. As the taproom establishes itself, we will identify Kitchen Associates who demonstrate leadership and reliability for Shift Manager roles. Position Overview The Kitchen Associate role is a key part of our kitchen operations. This position supports both prep and line execution across all stations — including Dishwasher/Sanitation, Prep, Pantry, and Line — while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Success in this role omes from attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and portion food items according to kitchen standards Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation Execute line cook responsibilities during service as needed Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment Clean and maintain kitchen stations, equipment, and floors Receive, unload, and organize deliveries Take out trash and maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen Support team members across stations to ensure smooth operations Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Qualifications Prior kitchen experience preferred (restaurant, brewery, or similar environment) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain prior to first shift) Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Reliable attendance and punctuality Grand Opening availability strongly preferred What We’re Looking For Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment?
