Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with potential for reduced shifts in 4-hour increments
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred
• Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong Neuro assessment skills required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with EVDs and ICP monitoring needed
• Neuro Interventionalist experience is a plus
• Associate Degree or Certificate education required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to manage independently and complete tasks timely
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a specialized 8-bed Neuro ICU unit that provides comprehensive critical care services for neurological patients. The facility treats a diverse patient population including stroke, traumatic brain injury, head injury, and neurosurgery patients from the Med/Surg ICU. The unit performs advanced neurological assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures, with capabilities for bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery and future state care for Neuro interventional patients.
