Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 7-week contract
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements, but eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments, requiring work of only 4 or 8 hours of scheduled shift
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility location
• 2 years minimum experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred
• Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong neuro assessment skills required
• Experience with EVDs and ICP monitoring needed
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Care for 8-bed Neuro unit with stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Perform neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Assist with neuro-specific procedures including bolt and drain bedside placements
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to work independently and manage change effectively

The facility features an 8-bed Neuro ICU that serves stroke, traumatic brain injury, head injury, and neurosurgery patients, with advanced capabilities for neuro interventional procedures. The organization maintains high standards for critical care and offers a collaborative environment with neurosurgery teams for specialized bedside procedures.
