Conflicts Analyst

Responsibilities: Understanding of professional responsibility frameworks governing legal practice, especially those addressing competing client interests, along with a proactive approach to handling related matters Examine intake and screening documentation for new engagements to clarify involved parties, their roles, and the nature of the work being undertaken Conduct and track internal checks for potential client or matter conflicts across multiple regions, ensuring timely follow-ups where needed Support senior compliance leadership by gathering background information and conducting inquiries that contribute to resolving potential risk issues Run and interpret checks against applicable restriction or watchlist databases in line with internal protocols Carry out background reviews associated with onboarding new personnel, including legal professionals and external advisors Promptly raise any identified concerns relating to conflicts or other risk areas to appropriate leadership Engage with colleagues across departments to clearly summarize and communicate identified risk scenarios Verify the accuracy of client and matter records within the firm’s financial and workflow systems, coordinating with relevant teams when discrepancies arise Set up and maintain information barriers where required, including handling notifications and confirmations Keep thorough records of communications and ensure proper documentation for approvals, waivers, and lifecycle changes of engagements Recommend enhancements to existing processes and analytical approaches related to conflict identification and broader risk management Contribute to evaluation and rollout of new tools or systems that support operational effectiveness Record insights gained from resolving issues and assist in strengthening internal policies and procedures Handle all sensitive information with a high level of discretion and care #J-18808-Ljbffr Partnership Employment
