Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with over three years of insurance defense litigation experience to join their Fort Lauderdale, FL office. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and grow within a dynamic, trial-focused environment. Duties Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions. Take and defend fact and expert depositions. Manage discovery and case strategy. Attend hearings, mediations, and pre-trial conferences. Communicate directly with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel. Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as needed. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Florida. Over three years of experience in insurance defense and general civil litigation. Experience with construction defect, premises liability, and professional liability preferred. Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Proven ability to handle discovery, motion practice, and depositions independently. Strong organizational and time management skills. Team-oriented with a proactive, client-focused approach. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Florida. Skills Research and writing proficiency.
