The hotel assistant housekeeping manager helps run the daily cleaning operations, supervises staff, and ensures guest rooms meet quality standards. Responsibilities: Staff Supervision: Manage room attendants, housepersons, and laundry workers. Assign daily tasks and create work schedules. Room Inspections: Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to check cleanliness and safety standards. Inventory Control: Monitor cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms. Order new stock when supplies run low. Department Communication: Update the front desk on ready rooms and report maintenance problems to engineering. Training and Safety: Train new hires on cleaning methods and safety rules like OSHA. Qualifications: Experience: Usually requires 1 to 3 years of housekeeping or supervisory experience in a hotel. Education: A high school diploma or a hospitality degree. Skills: Good communication, basic computer use, and strong organizational skills. Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 yearly
