Supervising Civil Engineer

Principal/Supervising Civil Engineer - Job Description Hybrid; minimum 2 days in office per week. Responsibilities Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other engineering disciplines as well as other departments. Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience. Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering. Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with industry practices and regulations. Experience in civil infrastructure including site design, roads, site grading and drainage, utilities, stormwater design on US Government projects. Proficiency in Civil 3D is desired. Desired Skills Professional Engineer registration. Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
