Production Operations Development Lead (Level 3)

As the Production Operations Development Lead, you will drive the transition of cutting-edge air-defense hardware from concept to full-rate production.

You will support the Lower-Tier Integrated Air & Missile Defense (LTIAMD) portfolio, including PAC-3 Evolutionary Development and Transition-to-Production (T2P) initiatives, as well as new franchise programs.

Our team oversees the end-to-end management and integration of multiple hardware development programs, guiding each project from initial proposal through design and development and ultimately into full-scale production.

What You Will Be Doing

• Create and execute multi-site rollout plans that satisfy program requirements and align with schedule targets.
• Develop project plans that support the required timeline for part procurement, fabrication, and production cut-in, accounting for legacy inventory run-outs.
• Serve as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) on assigned programs, overseeing cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate ramp-up activities across manufacturing sites, ensuring tooling, test equipment, and resources are ready on time.
• Drive risk identification and mitigation , delivering actionable opportunities to support program requirements.
• Manage open issues and track resolution progress to keep teams on-schedule.
• Advocate for producibility , working with manufacturing and design engineers to embed manufacturability early in the development cycle.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to nurture a collaborative, self-directed work environment, using influence and teamwork to drive results.
• Deliver cost-saving initiatives that enhance affordability while maintaining World-Class manufacturing standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Desired skills

-Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

-A history of elevated performance within Operations Management or related disciplines supporting Production and Developmental Programs

-Good written and verbal communication skills

-Experience leading cross-functional teams

-Control Account Management (CAM) Certification

-Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

-Experience managing, contributing to, and executing proposals and/or affordability initiatives

-Experience in multiple functional disciplines: Production, IPT, Manufacturing, GSC, Quality, Engineering

-A clear understanding of the production processes employed within Lockheed Martin

-Experience with PAC-3 products, as well as other business units and programs

-Advanced Engineering/Technical or Business related degree

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
