Tax Accountant

Experienced Tax Accountant – 5+ Years of Experience

Our accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of public accounting and tax preparation experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Perform tax research and provide tax planning assistance to clients.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests.
• Stay current with changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of tax accounting experience , preferably in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.
• Significant proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software, accounting software, Microsoft Office, Excel, electronic filing systems, and other technology used in a modern accounting practice.
• Ability and willingness to learn and implement new software, applications, and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted accounting and tax tools.
• CPA, EA, or progress toward professional certification is preferred but not required.
