Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – ER (Travel) | Marysville, California | Start 08/10/2026 | 8 weeks | 36 hours per week | 12-hour day shifts in a hospital emergency department. This travel assignment places you in a fast-paced acute care setting that provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages. You will collaborate with physicians and the health care team to deliver safe, high-quality care and integrate teaching and discharge planning into the plan of care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for a group of ER patients across applicable age ranges during the designated shift, using the nursing process and input from patients and families.
- Triage, treat, stabilize and coordinate care for patients presenting with acute injuries or illnesses; collaborate with physicians and the health care team.
- Develop, implement and monitor individualized nursing care plans; document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the medical record.
- Incorporate patient and family education and discharge planning into the overall plan of care; ensure safe transitions to home or other care settings.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff (e.g., CNA) based on current clinical competence and scope of practice; supervise and adjust care as needed.
- Maintain patient safety, regulatory compliance and quality standards in a high-acuity ER environment, including documentation and communication of changes in patient status.

Requirements
- Active RN license required; California licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure for practice in California
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN); ADN or BSN accepted
- Experience: ER/trauma nursing experience preferred; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Certification: Current CPR/BLS as a standard requirement for ER staff; other certifications per unit policy may be required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a high-volume ER and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
