Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients across the age range assigned on your shift, applying the nursing process and incorporating input from patients and significant others.
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate delivery of care and align with the approved plan of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies, monitor responses, manage IV therapies, and recognize and respond to changing patient conditions.
• Deliver patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and support for transitions to home or next level of care.
• Delegate appropriate nursing tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff based on competence and scope of practice; document care promptly and accurately.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Oncology nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to work a 3x12-night shift in a hospital setting
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in California (ASN/BSN acceptable)
