Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as a registered professional nurse for a group of patients during a designated shift, using the nursing process in alignment with the medical plan of care.
- Prescribe and coordinate nursing care based on patient input, significant others, and clinical assessment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate delivery of care for patients across ages (as assigned by unit) including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Incorporate teaching, discharge planning, and patient education into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate elements of care to other licensed staff based on current clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient safety standards; ensure continuity of care during shift changes.
- This position is represented by CNA, reflecting its staffing and labor relationship.

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Ability to provide care to patients across age groups as required by unit assignment
