Description: Department: PCT Number of Beds: 36 Common Diagnoses Include: Anything post-ICU, post shock, post stroke, initiate critical care unit level of care while pending transfer, pneumonia, heart failure, post cardiac arrest, respiratory failure for weaning or non-weaning pending tracheostomy placement, infection disease, and more.
Job Duties: Monitor vital signs, provide morning/evening care, restock supplies, run errands, perform EKGs, track outputs, conduct bladder scanning, check blood glucose levels
Additional Information: Tele/Monitor Technicians are centralized and available 24/7. Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry appropriately and communicate changes with physicians for necessary intervention. Scheduling is done four weeks in advance. Weekend requirements: at least every other weekend. Holiday requirements: may participate in holiday rotations. No call or standby requirements. Scrub color: Maroon Red. Cancellation Policy: 3 shifts within 13 weeks. Charting system utilized is Allscripts. No BSN required. Trauma Level: 2. Care setting: Acute. Division: Allied. Shift notes: Evenings.
