What You’ll Do

• Provide outpatient Hematology and Oncology consultations and follow-up care
• Support hospital inpatient and ER consults for Hem/Onc patients
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, IV iron, and non-chemotherapy injections in the clinic
• Coordinate with infusion centers for port access, transfusions, and supportive care
• Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary teams
• Cover urgent patient needs through hospital inpatient and outpatient settings
• Supervise and collaborate with nursing staff, including port access procedures

What You Need

• PA medical license (or eligible for licensing); PA license preferred
• Board certification in Hematology and Oncology (double board preferred)
• Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology required
• At least some clinical experience in Hematology and Oncology preferred; less experienced providers considered
• Skilled in outpatient cancer care, infusion procedures, and patient management
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team of support staff

About the Assignment
This role is based at a leading hospital in Chambersburg, with a team dedicated to providing outstanding cancer care. The provider will manage outpatient Hematology/Oncology cases, support hospital consults, and participate in tumor board activities. The clinic schedule provides ample time for consultations, follow-ups, and urgent hospital needs, with a team including an NP and virtual hematologist support. The hospital’s comprehensive cancer institute is accredited by the American College of Surgeons, and the facility boasts modern infusion centers and a committed multidisciplinary team.
