Azure DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build internal DevOps tools, CLI utilities, API integrations, and automation scripts.
• Build and operate an internal developer platform across Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and automation in connected and air-gapped environments.
• Develop Go-based tooling to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and use Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Create and maintain GitLab source-control workflows and deterministic pipelines with testing, security scans, JUnit results, SBOMs, and scan evidence.
• Manage Kubernetes deployments with Helm and configure cloud resources across Azure and AWS.
• Implement secure artifact movement, repository mirroring, offline scanning, and promotion for high-side environments.
• Automate pipeline and operating-system tasks using Python or PowerShell and support configuration management with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Apply secret-management practices and vulnerability or misconfiguration scanning, including SAST, infrastructure-as-code, and secret detection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience, or four years of experience in lieu of the degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience developing Go-based CLI tools and API integrations for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong experience deploying and managing cloud resources in Azure and AWS.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python for pipeline and operating-system automation.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, and DNS.
• Configuration-management experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Preferred experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, RHEL and Windows patching, and Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Strong documentation practices for handoffs and audits are desired.
