Pay Range $15 - $16.50 Employment Type & Schedule Part-Time - Weekdays (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM) - Rotating Weekends (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM)

Position Summary

Assist with kitchen preparation and meal service for residents and guests while ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. Responsible for accurately following menus, delivering high-quality service, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the dining rooms, kitchen, and dishwashing areas.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages, fruits, salads, desserts, and assist with additional food preparation as needed.
• Set up dining room tables for meal service.
• Accurately follow resident menus when preparing room trays and/or serving in the dining room.
• Take tableside meal orders and deliver food to residents in an organized, timely, and courteous manner.
• When appropriate, offer available options to exceed resident expectations.
• Deliver nourishments to resident units as required.
• Deliver food carts to designated locations and ensure carts are returned to the kitchen.
• Collect and dispose of trash and garbage in designated containers.
• Clean work areas, dining rooms, equipment, walls, cabinets, storage areas, and other assigned spaces in accordance with established procedures.
• Wash dishes, cookware, flatware, and trays using approved sanitation procedures.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact tactfully and respectfully with individuals of varying ages, cultures, needs, abilities, and physical conditions. Demonstrates care, compassion, dignity, and respect when serving residents. Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
