Operations Supervisor (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm)

Job Overview The Operations Supervisor oversees the daily activities of an operational unit, maintains workflow, staffing, and scheduling to achieve targeted operational and financial results. The role ensures compliance with operational policies, resolves routine operational issues, schedules and manages workers in operations or plant to ensure efficiency, and determines labor hours needed and the quantity of items to be received, stocked, picked, inventoried, cleaned, and shipped. Responsibilities and Duties Ensures that all processes run smoothly and that workers are always kept safe Provides managers, peers, and subordinates with information about quality, safety delivery, cost, and morale Coaches and develops employees in daily operations, responsible for the training, coaching, and feedback of hourly associates, and performs regular evaluations of associates through factual data and subjective observations Oversees anywhere from 1 to 25 hourly associates Works with strict demands and budgets to set production schedules Monitors activity and ensures daily quotas are met by keeping workers on task and informed of procedural changes; if production falls behind, determines best ways to get back on schedule Designs detailed product quality checklists and monitors items as they are constructed Scrutinizes every item before packaging and shipping Performs personal inspections to ensure orders are compliant and associates follow strict SWI’s/SLAs process steps Monitors metrics and Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) to assess productivity and cost management Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related departments Maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items; secures warehouse; supervises staff Conducts monthly physical counts, reconciles variances, and inputs data Helps implement and adhere to Lean manufacturing and 6S initiatives Assesses and analyzes current practices and drives improvements Partners and coordinates with management, peers, subordinates, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns Leads by example of positive reinforcement and strives to make RK Logistics a world-class company Maintains good partnerships with customers by responding to their needs and requirements; provides company focal point for customer visits Communicates with upper management when issues arise Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Abilities Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness Understanding of RF scanners and standardized processes Knowledge of picking, receiving, and shipping processes; hands‑on experience preferred Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills Excellent time‑management skills A strong sense of urgency and drive to succeed Integrity Demonstrates ability to interact well with others and follow instructions Flexibility and ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals Ability to read and write, comprehend basic checklists, forms, or other documents Ability to follow oral and written directions Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, recline with hands and arms, climb ladders, kneel, or crouch Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. unassisted while using safe lifting techniques Qualifications and Skills Needed Knowledge of ERP/MRP/WMS, especially SAP, Citrix, Oracle, Cargowise Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheets Familiarity with Agile, Arena, and other PLM systems Proficiency in MS Office Suite Associate degree or equivalent in business administration or industrial management/engineering Basic math and writing skills Advanced computer skills such as MRP a plus 3–5 years of experience in the logistics field or related industry Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience Knowledge of handheld RF equipment a plus Forklift certification a plus: sit‑down & stand‑up RK Qualities Adherence to all RK Safety, Quality, ISO and HR policies and standards RK Logistics Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
