By joining us, you don't just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.Your main responsibilities:Operations ManagementLead and build a high-performing, safe team of 12–20 field technicians by enforcing company quality and safety standards.Coordinate daily project schedules, job site readiness walkthroughs, parts/material ordering, and payroll accuracy.Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through consistent site visits and communication.Manage manpower levels in partnership with union representatives, resolving employee relations and staffing issues.Support sales and project management teams with bid estimates, job progress meetings, and complaint resolution.Ensure all installation projects meet contractual, company, and safety requirements.Quality and SafetyConduct regular site inspections, including physical access to motor rooms, pits, and shaftways, to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance.Implement company and customer requirements for product performance, reliability, and passenger safety.Enforce safety best practices and participate in continuous training programs.Employee Development, Planning & LogisticsTrain and mentor technicians on company processes, tools, safety protocols, and industry standards.Foster open communication and teamwork among field staff and union partners.Manage daily logistics and resource allocation to optimize project delivery.CollaborationServe as a liaison between field teams, contractors, sales, project managers, and support functions.Work closely with union representatives to maintain positive labor relations.Coordinate with quality, engineering, and service teams during project handovers and customer training.Problem SolvingProactively identify and resolve on-site challenges, customer concerns, and operational roadblocks.Adapt to shifting priorities and urgent requests from technicians and contractors to keep projects on track.What you bring:Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry, construction industry or related field experience5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferredStrong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive employee relations with proven leadership skillsProficiency in MS Office suiteStrong organizational skills and experience managing tradespeopleFlexibility to be on callAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentWhat's in it for you?Fully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans - Effective from first day of hire.3 weeks' vacation which increases with tenure, 7 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 8 Company Observed Holidays.Tuition Reimbursement - Eligible after 6 months of service.Parental Leave – 100% base pay for 6 consecutive weeks within first year of a child's birth or adoption.A wide range of development opportunities to boost your professional and leadership growth.Base Salary $102,200 - $127,700The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities.
