TCC Family Health, founded in 1939,  a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), provides comprehensive, high quality health care and wellness services to those of all ages in the under resourced and underserved need in the greater Long Beach community.  TCC is now a vibrant network of 14 clinic sites, including three school-based health centers, and one mobile medical clinic. Last year TCC served almost 40,000 patients through 175,000 medical, behavioral health, dental, optometry and wellness visits.

TCC Family Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who enjoys working in a fast-paced outpatient environment, values teamwork, and is committed to excellent patient care. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides safe, high-quality patient care by assisting providers with clinical treatments, procedures, and administrative duties within the California LVN Scope of Practice. The LVN delivers compassionate care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults while supporting efficient patient flow in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Essential Duties:

• Manage daily walk-in patient flow and coordinate timely follow-up
• Process laboratory and imaging orders from specialty offices and primary care providers (PCPs)
• Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Process medication refill requests and prior authorizations
• Provide patient education and support care coordination
• Administer vaccines in accordance with clinical protocols
• Coordinate Medical Assistant schedules as assigned
• Monitor incoming mail, faxes, and provider correspondence
• Prepare forms for provider review and signature

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma or GED required
• Current active California LVN License
• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and EMR systems)

 

Preferred

• At least one year of outpatient clinic experience
• Phlebotomy or Blood Withdrawal Certification

Pay: $27.49- $31.49 per hour
