Restaurant Manager - Sally's Waterfront Dining

About the Position We are looking for the Restaurant Manager of Sally’s Waterfront Dining at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego to manage daily operations, ensuring high‑quality service and aligning with hotel standards. Responsibilities Support and manage the restaurant, working closely with hotel departments. Assist the F&B MOD for outlet operations, learning all operating outlets across the hotel to support when appropriate. Ensure alignment with immediate supervisors and two directly reporting assistant managers. Responsible for short‑ and long‑term planning to achieve financial and service goals. Ensure effective hiring, training, and individual/team development. Accountability of teams’ service and professional standards. Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results. Full understanding of colleague engagement and driving results. Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost control. Create a high‑energy, positive, professional environment. Plan, coordinate and manage special promotions, events and competitions. Work closely with marketing on promotional and marketing opportunities. Qualifications Full‑time management position requiring flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays, and a varied schedule. Strong desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Refined verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in general computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite) and point‑of‑sale and reservation systems. Detail‑oriented and organized. Proven leadership skills. Strong food and beverage knowledge, including wine, spirits and beer. Hotel experience and thorough understanding of restaurant service. Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or Restaurant Manager preferred. High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service. Salary The salary range for this position is $72,800 to $95,000. The final salary will be based on experience and education.
