Job Description Position Title: Packer Wage: $18.50/hour Shift: 2nd, 4-day x 10-hour workday Mondays through Thursdays, Voluntary overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays Hours: 4:30pm-3:00am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Packer for a company in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Packer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Sort, inspect, and pack customer metal parts efficiently and according to work instructions
- Operate very basic packing and inspection related equipment
- Use basic measuring devices and report discrepancies to the Lead person
- Safely operate all required lifting/moving devices
- Participate attentively in and apply all required products, processes, and safety training
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Accurately record time of jobs packed and workday on computer (will train)
- Absolutely reliable attendance at work
- Compliance with relevant policies, procedures and instructions, including Code of Conduct Packer Requirements:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Able to read and write in English; bilingual Spanish ideal
- Able to follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Use basic math skills for counting and measuring
- Work at a fast pace sorting and packing parts efficiently
