Bookkeeper (Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable)

Job Description

This position will be responsible for:

Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
Handling accounts payable and vendor payments
Maintain general ledger and perform double-entry bookkeeping
Complete bank and account reconciliations
Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
Submit weekly invoices to third party payers
Enter invoices into the Georgia Medicaid System (GAMMIS)
Assist with financial reports, budgeting and account analysis
Work closely with leadership and external accountants

Qualifications:

3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Strong knowledge of AR/AP processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
Experience in healthcare or medical billing
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
