Details Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital with fewer than 100 births per month Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00 May consider candidates open to 36 hours/week 1:1 patient ratio Provides care across antepartum, L&D, mother/baby, and postpartum settings Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications required AWHONN Advanced certification preferred Skilled in fetal monitoring, EFM, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Experience with vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and postpartum care Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives Altera charting experience preferred but not required Travel experience preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care, newborn assessment, and discharge teaching Provides support for high-risk conditions such as postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with immediate cancellation for positive results Candidates should avoid substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or provide a completion plan RN/LVN candidates must reside within a 150-mile radius of the facility Local candidates are not accepted for Allied or CNA positions Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-750609.
