Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and post-delivery recovery. Monitor fetal and maternal well-being, administer medications, and assist with childbirth procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs throughout labor and delivery.
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individual care plans.
Administer medications and interventions in accordance with hospital protocols.
Support and educate patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Prepare and assist with delivery procedures, including operating room support as needed.
Document all patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

Valid RN license with relevant state certification.
Must hold NRP, BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN fetal monitoring credentials.
Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred.
Ability to assess and care for newborns immediately at delivery.
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts reliably.
