Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will orchestrate the seamless flow of production activities by developing and maintaining accurate master production schedules. Your expertise in supply chain management, demand planning, and production management systems will ensure that manufacturing processes run efficiently, meet customer demands, and optimize inventory levels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where proactive planning and cross-functional collaboration drive success.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to meet customer expectations based on open orders, availability of raw materials, and production capacity.
• Ensure that all production activities are planned to meet delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain team to ensure that raw materials and components are available when needed.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent production delays while minimizing carrying costs.
• Work closely with the Operations team to analyze production capacity and anticipate the need for resources, equipment, and labor.
• Identify potential bottlenecks and develop contingency plans to address them.
• Coordinate with senior management to prioritize customer orders based on urgency, production capacity, and material availability.
• Communicate with the sales and customer service teams to keep them informed about production timelines.
• Liaise with Operations team to suggest opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Track production metrics, including output, efficiency, and downtime, and generate regular reports for management.
• Use data to forecast production needs and make informed decisions.
• Liaise with the Quality and Maintenance teams to stay informed on any quality or maintenance issues that could impact production.
• Work with the R&D team on new product introductions, ensuring that production schedules align with launch timelines.
• Ensure that production schedules are capable of complying with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Good computer skills, experience with SAP and Microsoft Word & Excel required.
• Experience working with inventory management and programs used for tracking and reporting.
• Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
• Experience in managing competing priorities in a high-level business environment.
• Strong communication ability with peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
• Bilingual in Mandarin is required .
