Are you a hands-on accounting leader who likes being in the numbers? This is a true #2 to the Controller at a growing, acquisitive wealth management firm. You’ll run the close, own the technical accounting, and build a team that doesn’t fall apart when one person takes a vacation.

What you’ll do
- Lead month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations
- Prepare and review complex journal entries and technical accounting (leases, investments, fixed assets, revenue recognition), with audit-ready memos
- Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants
- Serve as a key contact for external audit and support bank and shareholder reporting
- Oversee AP/AR and support accounting integration for acquired entities
- Build out SOPs and workflows for a scalable team, and back up the Controller
What you bring
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or actively pursuing
- 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising or mentoring staff
- Strong GAAP knowledge, plus close, multi-entity consolidation, and reconciliation experience
