ETL Developer

ETL DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking an ETL Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.This role involves working as a data specialist on a development team to design, optimize, and oversee ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis and management, contributing to the final ETL architecture and building large-scale data marts for high-volume, near-real-time reporting. This position is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes.Responsibilities:Perform core IBM DataStage ETL (Extract Transform Load) development for data movement, data quality, and data cleansingCommunicate with Business Users and Solution Architects to convert ETL design into specific development activitiesDesign, implement, and operate comprehensive process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extractionCreate supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flowTroubleshoot ETL process failures or warnings and provide technical support for all ETL related issuesProvide technical expertise and knowledge of ETL solutions for data integration projectsPrepare deployment packages, including deployment documentation and DSX/ID exportsEnable teams with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilitiesGuide and influence teams on design and best practices for high code performanceProvide end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automationConduct research, design prototyping, and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsetsRequirements:Minimum 7 years of experience with ETL developmentProficiency with Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQLStrong UNIX/LINUX scripting skillsExperience with ETL platforms like Informatica and DatastageExperience with job schedulers like AutosysKnowledge of CI/CD automation and Agile development methodologiesProven experience in troubleshooting and performance tuningDesired skills:Experience working with SAP packs and high data volumesKnowledge of data modelingExperience with Github Co-pilotExperience with PythonKnowledge of SAPPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
