COMMERCIAL VEHICLE INSPECTION SPECIALIST

Job Title Commercial Vehicle Inspection Specialist Salary $4,102.00 – $6,121.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range. Location & Work Type Imperial County. In office. Permanent Full Time. Overview Under close supervision of the Sidewinder Platform Scale Supervisor, the candidate performs inspections and weighing of commercial vehicles in compliance with departmental policies and regulations. Responsibilities Inspect and weigh commercial vehicles outdoors under varying weather and environmental conditions. Alert traffic officer to observed violations. Maintain current knowledge of commercial vehicle laws and regulations. Adopt appropriate safety and personal protective equipment at all times. Working Conditions Inspections conducted outdoors; may involve extreme weather, balance, dexterity, and flexibility. Requires standing or sitting for extended periods.
